Karnataka triumphs

BANGALORE: Karnataka claimed the boys’ and the girls’ titles in the National sub-junior throwball championship here on Wednesday.

The results: Boys final: Karnataka bt AP 25-17, 25-21. Third place play-off: Tamil Nadu bt Chattisgarh 25-15, 25-19. Semifinals: AP bt Chattisgarh 25-19, 27-25; Karnataka bt Tamil Nadu 25-21, 27-26.

Girls: Karnataka bt Tamil Nadu 25-20, 25-7. Third place play-off: AP bt Vidarbha 25-15, 25-19. Semifinals: Tamil Nadu bt AP 20-25, 25-9, 25-23; Karnataka bt Vidarbha 25-14, 25-16.
