No sealing in Delhi for one week

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has passed a resolution to stop the sealing drive in the Capital for one week starting this Thursday.

At a meeting of the MCD Standing Committee, Chairman Vijender Gupta said: “We will push the Centre to bring in an Ordinance or a one-time amnesty scheme to save unauthorised constructions.” However, civic body officials said court orders were sanctimonious and any modifications had to be done by the court alone.
