Vacancies under water supply project

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet on Wednesday sanctioned 48 posts, including two project coordinators and five project directors, for implementing the Rs.2600-crore Japanese funded Kerala Water Supply Project.

Some of these posts, including those of project directors, would be created by upgrading existing posts of executive engineers. The project covers five schemes for Pattuvam (Kannur), Kozhikode, Cherthala, Meenadu (Kollam) and Thiruvananthapuram. A meeting convened by Minister for Water Resources N. K. Premachandran reviewed the progress of the project on Wednesday. –Special Correspondent
