ICRISAT, Philippines Science Journalists’ Association Inc. enter partnership

Assurance given
Dr. Reddy gave the assurance on Tuesday to S.V. Pantulu, general secretary of the forum, following a representation, which said, some of the scientists were honoured by the Food and Agricultural Organisation, World Bank, but not the State Government. It wanted the scientists to be felicitated either at the Republic Day or Ugadi function.
MoU signed
Meanwhile, the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the Philippines Science Journalists’ Association Inc. recently signed a memorandum of understanding to forge partnership on agricultural research.
A press release issued by ICRISAT here on Wednesday stated that the MoU would promote a higher level of Science and Technology consciousness and understanding among media practitioners in the Philippines. Specifically they will jointly undertake activities which include holding of seminars, training, conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions.
