BJP activist attempts suicide
NAGERCOIL: A Bharatiya Janata Party office-bearer tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at the Kulasekaran police station on Wednesday.
Rajan (30), BJP’s Nagercoil executive committee member, was admitted to the Aasaripallam Medical College Hospital.
His condition is said to be stable.
Sources said Rajan had taken on lease lands of a mutt at Kulasekaram. Since the person who had previously taken on lease the same land reportedly harvested the yield repeatedly, Mr. Rajan filed a complaint with the Kulasekaran police, but no action was taken. — Staff Reporter
