Sri Lankan national arrested

CHENNAI: A 29-year-old Sri Lankan national attempting to board a Toronto-bound flight using an original Canadian passport of another person was arrested by Immigration authorities here on Tuesday.

Authorities said the passenger was holding a passport in the name of Manoharan Krivathanan. On interrogation, it came to light that his original name was Kanagaratnam Pulenthiran.

The authorities handed him over to the local police for further investigation.
