Vijayalakshmi, Siva emerge champions

VIJAYAWADA: Khammam’s G. Vijayalakshmi (622 points) and Ranga Reddy’s V. Siva Kumar (600 points) emerged individual champions in the Indian round of the mini (u-13) inter-district archery championship for boys and girls here on Wednesday.

The results: Mini boys: 30m: 1. V. Siva Kumar (RR) 297; 2. Sandeep (RR) 283; 3. M. Praveen Kumar (Krishna) 263. 20m: 1. V. Siva Kumar (RR) 303; 2. Yaman (RR) 277; 3. Sandeep (RR) 214.

Mini girls: 30m: 1. G. Vijayalakshmi (Khammam) 306; 2. Asha Agarwal (Khammam) 271; 3. T. Srilakshmi (Krishna) 181. 20m: G. Vijayalakshmi (Khammam) 316; 2. Asha Agarwal (Khammam) 289; 3. T. Srilakshmi (Krishna) 214.

MBP XI lifted the Devineni Vankataramana-Praneetha Memorial Trophy defeating Young Stars by five wickets in the final league match of Krishna District Association ‘B’ division cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Young Stars 104 in 22.3 overs (Pandu four for 28) lost to MBP XI 110 for five in 15 overs.
