SP activist succumbs to burn injuries

NEW DELHI: An activist of the student wing of the Samajwadi Party who set himself afire at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday protesting against “murder of democracy in Uttar Pradesh” succumbed to his burns at a hospital here on Wednesday.

A resident of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Ranvijay Singh set himself ablaze on Tuesday afternoon. He was rushed to Lohia Hospital where he died on Wednesday afternoon. Ranvijay was an activist of the Samajwadi Party’s student wing Chaatra Sabha.
