The 12th chapter, ‘Bhakthi Yoga,’ comprising 20 slokas, has been choreographed
Finesse: Suchitra Visweswaran Danseuse Suchithra Visweswaran, who presented the Mohiniyattom version of ‘Narayaneeyam’ and ‘Poothanamoksham’ for the first time is gearing up to present ‘Bhagavad-Gita’. The 12th chapter ‘Bhakthi Yoga’ comprising 20 slokas has been choreographed in Ragamalika and Thalamalika. Arjuna wanted more clarification about ‘Bhakthi’ and ‘Bhaktha’. Lord Krishna answers his question of ‘who is the real Bhaktha’ by speaking about ‘Jnana bhakthi, ananya bhakthi, nishkalanga bhakthi and nishkama bhakthi’. This context is being portrayed by her through the stories of Melpathoor, Kurooramma, Poonthanam and Kuchelan. She relates ‘jnana bhakthi’ with Melpathoor, ‘ananya bhakthi’ with Kurooramma, ‘nishkalanga bhakthi’ with Poonthanam. According to her, the ideal ‘Bhaktha’ is Kuchelan. Suchithra was assisted by K.R. Nambiar and FACT Padmanabhan. She presented the programme on Wednesday at Thripunithura in connection with the ‘Gita jnana yagnam: Art of Dynamic Living’ by Swamini Vimalananda. It was highly appreciated by the swamini. Suchithra was accompanied by Prathapan Mulanthuruthy on vocal, Shyam K Menon on mridangam, Panavally Vijayakumar on violin, Panangad Mahadevan on flute and Krishnakumar on edaykka. K. Venkiteswaran
