Efforts acknowledged

Ever since they started night patrolling four years back, members of the Rice Research Road Residents Association have not had even a single day without its volunteers on duty.

And their moment of pride came at the third anniversary meeting of the Police Residents Association Initiative in District Ernakulam (PRIDE), held here last week.

The association was one among the two selected for implementing the best safety practices.

All those sleepless nights have won Rs.25,000 for their association and tickets for two of their members to fly to Singapore.
