DCC chief to quit post on health grounds
VIZIANAGARAM: District Congress Committee president and MLC Vasireddy Varada Rama Rao decided to quit the president post on health grounds.
Addressing a press conference at R & B guest house here on Thursday afternoon, Mr. Rama Rao said that due to his failing health he was unable to concentrate on both DCC president and MLC and hence he would be sending his resignation letter to the APCC in-charge president G.S Rao.
He said that Mr. Rao had asked him to continue in the post till the by-election to Therlam Assembly constituency was completed. But he was not ready to comply with his request, Mr. Rama Rao added.
