Fall in water level in reservoirs

Thiruvananthapuram: The water level in major reservoirs of the State has decreased. According to figures released by the Central Water Commission for the week ending January 14, the level at Idukki decreased to 2379.46 ft., Idamalayar to 512.76 ft and Kallada to 372.47 ft. When compared to the level recorded during the same period last year, Kallada and Idukki reservoirs showed an increase of 5.02 ft. and 3.36 ft. respectively. However, Idamalayar showed a decrease of 12.96 ft. — Special Correspondent
