Udupi: Sugunendra Tirtha Swami of Puttige Math, who will be taking over as the Paryaya Math on January 18, 2008, has said that the math would take up several schemes during the next two years. Speaking to The Hindu here on Wednesday, the Puttige seer said that foremost among his schemes is that of “Sundara Udupi, Krishnana Udupi” (Beautiful Udupi, Lord Krishna’s Udupi). Under this project, the swami intends to take up the beautification of Udupi. He would take up the construction of another “Bhojana Shala” (dinning hall), which would benefit a large number of devotees who visit the Sri Krishna Temple.
