Project will come up off Old Mahabalipuram Road ECC to design and construct the project CHENNAI: L&T South City Projects Limited (L&T SCPL) is investing Rs. 1,200 crore for developing an integrated township off Old Mahabalipuram Road, Chennai. The township christened “Eden Park” will be launched on January 18. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, K. Venkatesh, Executive Vice-President, L&T, said L&T Urban Infrastructure with 51 per cent and Dinesh Ranka & Associates and Pragnya Trustee & Investment Management Company with 24.5 per cent each, have jointed together to develop this project. Eden Park, which is coming up behind SIPCOT layout in Siruseri, Chennai, is spread over nearly 100 acres and will be developed in four to five phases. First phaseThe first phase will be developed over 14 acres with 656 apartments. Mr. Venkatesh said the township would have residential apartments, villas, one of the best schools of Chennai, essential services, healthcare facilities and shopping mall/arcade. It would build ‘villapartment’ concept — the privacy, luxury and independent of a villa and the convenience, cost-effective maintenance and security of an apartment. S. Hariharan, Vice-President, L&T, said the project was being designed and constructed by ECC, the construction division of L&T. HOK, the U.S.-based design consultant with global presence, has developed the master layout of this project.
