NEW DELHI: Four senior members of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) on Thursday resigned from the Executive Committee in protest against the manner in which the super league has been conducted. Hem Chand (Vice-President), Sharafatullah (Vice-President), Mohammad Aziz (Joint-Secretary) and Mohammad Sultan (member) opted to quit their posts in the absence of “positive” response from the DSA. It is learnt that Hem Chand was not happy with the DSA preventing two of his players from participating in the super league. “Delhi football is not being conducted properly. There are different yardsticks for different officials,” said one of the officials, who said the DSA ought to have been transparent when taking some decisions that made an impact on the super league. The officials were not happy with the DSA allowing one of the clubs to stage a tournament at the same venue when the super league was in progress. The four officials claimed there would be more support for them in the next few days. Hat-trick by SudipSalwan Public School, Mayur Vihar reached the final of the under-13 group in the Lotto Ashoka Football festival at the Noida Sports Complex here on Thursday. Sudip Rawat scored a hat-trick and Bhupesh Rawat scored once as Salwan defeated Young Stars 4-0. In another match, Salwan overcame Ramagaya School, Noida 2-0. Sudip and Bhupesh were the scorers again. In the under-7 semifinals, Salwan Public School defeated J.P.S. School through a solitary goal scored by Vishal. In under-13, Cambridge School (Noida) qualified for the semifinals winning both its matches. George scored the only goal against Fr. Agnel, Noida 1-0 and Aditya, Prakhar and Ashwani slotted in a goal each as Cambridge beat Amity International (Noida) 3-0.
