Yuvraj’s injury not serious

PERTH: India had a minor injury scare on Thursday when Yuvraj Singh twisted his left knee during practice on the second morning of the third Test (which he isn’t playing) at the WACA here.

The left-handed batsman had undergone surgery for a cruciate ligament tear on the same leg in late 2006, but hearteningly for India, the injury isn’t serious. Indian media manager Dr. M.V. Sridhar said the scans had revealed no serious damage. Yuvraj has been advised a week’s rest. — Special Correspondent
