Sreesanth and Munaf to report at NCA

Bangalore: The injured duo of Munaf Patel and S. Sreesanth will report at the National Cricket Academy here on Friday for another round of fitness assessment tests.

The seamers will be monitored by Dav Whatmore, director of operations along with the support staff, Paul Close and Paul Chapman.

“Whatmore is expected to file a final fitness update on Munaf and Sreesanth prior to the selection committee meeting for the forthcoming ODI series in Australia.” The ODI team will be selected on January 20.

Meanwhile, the second phase of the fitness and monitoring camp is in progress at the academy. Robin Uthappa, Ranadeb Bose and Ajit Agarkar are attending the training sessions. — Principal Correspondent
