Avis, UCA post wins

MANGALORE: Avis Sunrise and Udupi Cricket Association scored victories in their respective Pool ‘D’ and ‘B’ league fixtures in the Ramco Cup cricket tournament here on Thursday.

While Avis beat DKCA by 23 runs, UCA scored a nine-wicket win over St. Aloysius HS ‘A.’

The scores: Pool ‘D’: Avis Sunrise 155 for eight in 25 overs (Ramiz Raja 70) bt DKCA 132 for seven in 25 overs. Pool ‘B’: St. Aloysius HS ‘A’ 120 in 24.5 overs lost to UCA 121 for one in 17.5 overs (Sukesh Poojary 81 n.o.)
