Discom workers threaten stir

BERHAMPUR: Workers of the power distribution company, Southco, have threatened to go on strike on Friday. They alleged that the Southco was not investing proper amount of funds for the maintenance of the existing power supply system in south Orissa.

There were frequent power failures and workers at the grass-root level were incurring the wrath of customers. The workers demanded immediate implementation of their 18-point charter of demands.
