Guidelines for Sakrama

BANGALORE: The Government will soon come out with guidelines for adopting the Sakrama scheme for regularisation of illegal constructions and change in land use in various cities of the State.

Addressing presspersons here after a meeting of the Executive Committee, S. Krishnakumar, adviser to the Governor, said the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had submitted a proposal on the scheme to the Urban Development Department. The proposal would be placed before the coming Executive Committee meeting, he said.

When asked about framing guidelines regarding quota for the chiefs’ posts in urban local bodies, he said detailed guidelines would be issued to each local body in a couple of days.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur was present.
