“No personal vengeance against Minister”

Staff Reporter

Jammu: Independent legislator in Jammu and Kashmir Shoaib Lone on Thursday said he had no personal vengeance against the former Education Minister and former State Congress chief Peerzada Sayeed, and added that he was forced by circumstances to reveal the truth.

Mr. Sayeed tendered his resignation to Chief Minister after Mr. Lone alleged in the Assembly recently that the Minister took Rs.40,000 from him. The money was sought in order to permit Mr. Lone’s sister to open an elementary teachers training institute, Mr. Lone said.
