Sene activists stage demonstration

SAGAR: Activists of Kannada Sene staged a demonstration here on Thursday urging the Government to ensure early distribution of ration cards to eligible families.

Addressing the activists in front of the Assistant Commissioner’s office, president of Kannada Sene and councillor Basheer said that the administration had failed to keep its promise of distributing ration cards immediately after applications were received.

Mr. Basheer said that the Kannada Sene would intensify its protest if the authorities concerned did not respond to the demand for early distribution of ration cards to eligible families.

Councillors Francis Gomes, Sumana Gomes, Parveen Taj, H.M. Pasha and S.S. Ramesh participated in the demonstration.
