‘New State would stop illegal diversion of river water essential for the upcoming steel plant’ Sangareddy: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader and Siddipet legislator T. Harish Rao, addressing the press here on Thursday, alleged that Chief minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy and his Andhra lobby are at work in scuttling the chances for formation of a separate State. He said that the Chief Minister must learn a lesson from his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Mayawati who is said have agreed for bifurcation of the huge State even though its was not her poll time promise. He opined that the Chief Minister had reservations against Telangana as the new State would stop the illegal diversion of river water to Pothyreddypadu which was essential for the upcoming steel plant. Calling upon the Congress legislators and members of parliament from the region to come out and support the cause of Telangana, Harish said that one must hurry as nothing could be done just before the general elections. “If we fail now Telangana has to wait for five more years,” he said. Dommata legislator Ramaling Reddy coming heavily on Telugu Desam party questioned the moral right of the party to comment on K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He wanted Talasani Srinivasa Yadav to remember the incident in which the women of Siddipet allegedly thrashed him for trying to buy votes in the Siddipet by elections. Student awarenessMember Legislative Council R.Satyanarayana informed that the party chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao would address a Student conclave here on 24 of this month as a part of the ongoing student awareness campaign. The meeting would be held near the Balaji Manjira Gardens. Students from Sangareddy division particularly from Patancheru, Ramachandrapuram, Sadasivapet would attend the meet.
