The festival is open to the public and entry is free. The Maharashtra government is the partner State for the festival.

Governor R.L. Bhatia will inaugurate the show at 6.30 p.m. in the presence of Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on January 20. The inaugural function will be followed by a dance recital by Poushali Chatterji at 8 p.m.

One of the highlights of the festival is a Mandolin recital by renowned musicians U. Shrinivas and U. Rajesh on January 24 evening. Foreign tourists and the general public could book VIP seats in advance without paying any ticket fees by logging on to www.keralatourism.org/nishagandhi.
