Regulatory orders clamped

The City Police Commissioner,

C.K. Gandhirajan has clamped regulatory orders under Section 41 of the Madras City Police Act in all the fifteen police station limits in the city till January 29 midnight prohibiting public assemblies, dharnas, demonstrations and processions. It was aimed at averting breach of public peace and tranquillity by persons belonging to different social, religious, political and economic ideologies.
