Murder mystery solved; 9 arrested
NEW DELHI: Five young men and four minors have been arrested in connection with the murder of a pick-pocket at New Usmanpur here this past weekend.
The police were informed on Sunday that a man’s body was lying near Shastri Park. It was identified as that of Sanjeev, a resident of Brahmpuri. Inquiries revealed that he was a pick-pocket. Suspecting that he might have been killed by his rivals, the police rounded up nine persons, including Umesh, Kanhaiya, Manoj, Sonu and Rajeev. During interrogation, they purportedly confessed to having murdered Sanjeev as he had recently fought with one of them.
