55-year-old financer robbed

NEW DELHI: A 55-year-old financer was robbed of Rs.25 lakh in cash allegedly by four young men on two motorcycles at Vikaspuri here on Thursday.

The incident took place around 11-30 a.m. when Shamsher Singh, a resident of Vikaspuri, was on his way to the Punjabi Bagh branch of Bank of Baroda along with his wife Harmeet in a Santro car. Four young men on two motorcycles intercepted them on Club Road, snatched a cloth-bag containing the cash and vanished from the scene.

Sharmsher is in the finance business.
