Withdrawing strike

BANGALORE: The Federation of Karnataka State Lorry Owners’ and Agents’ Associations has decided to withdraw the proposed transporters’ strike called against mandatory enforcement of speed governors scheduled from the midnight of January 20. The decision was taken after office-bearers of federation and other transporters’ associations held a meeting with the officials of the Transport Department and Governor’s Adviser P.K.H. Tharakan here on Thursday, according to federation president G.R. Shanmugappa.
