Republic Day competitions for schoolchildren

PUDUCHERRY: In connection with the Republic Day, Pizza Corner is organising essay writing and painting competitions for schoolchildren. According to a press release here, children between 10 and 14 years are eligible to participate in the essay competition on the theme ‘India in 2020’. The essay, which should be a maximum of 1,000 words, should be handed over at a Pizza Corner outlet by January 24 before 8 p.m.

The painting competition would be held on January 26 between 3.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. Children in the 4 to 14 age group can participate. Participants will be required to paint on the topic ‘Republic Day Parade in Delhi’ at the venue. The release added that children must bring their colouring materials.

Prior registration is a must for both competitions, and must be done on or before January 25 by 8 p.m. The entry fee for one competition is Rs. 100. Participants will be given a free garden fresh footizza and a Zzapi comic book, the release added. For further details, call 0413 – 2344111.
