Land distribution in Tirupati today

YSR to distribute 15,314.97 acres to 10,852 beneficiaries

So far 17,549.23 acres were distributed to 13,661 beneficiaries


Chittoor: The prestigious land distributive programme is a novel scheme in the entire country, said R. Chenga Reddy, Minister for Law and Technical Education.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday along with Minister Galla Aruna Kumari, he said as an Opposition party leader, the Chief Minister took out a padayatra during which he came to know the problems of the several sections, particularly farmers, and is implementing different schemes for their welfare.

The Chief Minister will be distributing 15,314.97 acres to 10,852 beneficiaries of which 3,268 are SCs, 813 STs, 4,068 BCs, 228 miniorities and 2,475 for others in the district under the fourth phase of land distribution programme at Tirupati on Saturday.

So far in the district 17,549.23 acres were distributed for 13,661 beneficiaries in first, second and third phases to SC/STs, BCs, minorities and others.
