ANANTAPUR: The driver and cleaner of a lorry were killed when their vehicle fell into Tungabhadra canal (HLC), while it was crossing a small bridge across the canal near Penna Ahobilam in the district on Friday. The two were trapped under the vehicle and died on the spot. According to the police, the lorry (AP-04-U5020) was on its way to Bellary from Anantapur. Bodies of the deceased were not removed till evening due to non-availability of a crane to lift the vehicle.
