HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has asked officials of the Pulivendula Municipality to complete the ongoing development works by May second week, when he plans to tour the area.

Reviewing the works with officials of various departments here on Friday, he told them to race against time and promised that his office would solve any problem.

According to a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office, officials briefed him on the progress of water supply scheme and other works. They assured that phase-II of the underground drainage scheme would be completed by the year-end. The committee constituted for preparing traffic and transportation plan for Pulivendula came out with a comprehensive plan.

He also reviewed the progress of various works of R & B, horticulture and micro-irrigation sectors. Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Reddy, who represents Pulivendula constituency, the municipality is on the fast-track of development for the past three-and-half years, according to the release.
