TENHIPALAM: The alumni association of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Calicut University, will celebrate its fourth anniversary on Saturday. Calicut University Vice-Chancellor Anwar Jahan Zuberi will inaugurate the event titled ‘Communion 2008’ at 10 am. A seminar on ‘Media Evolution: Content and Form in Transition’, will discuss the impact of digitisation on media. Filmmaker K.G. George and film critic C.S. Venkiteswaran will lead the seminar. Communion 2008 will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
