Malaysia to develop ‘medicity’ in State
Kuala Lumpur: With India promoting medical tourism in a big way, the Malaysian government is expected to sign an agreement to develop a “medicity” in Kerala, which is known for its Ayurvedic treatment.
The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia has been mandated to select Malaysian companies with a gross development value of over Malaysian ringgit 1.5 billion to participate in the project spanning eight years. The agreement is expected to be signed between the two sides within the next two months. “The medicity will be complemented with industrial and township precincts,” Works Minister Samy Vellu said on Thursday, according to the Bernama news agency. — PTI
