Sreesanth, Munaf undergo fitness tests

Bangalore: The injured pace duo of S. Sreesanth and Munaf Patel had a round of fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here on Friday.

The duo underwent drills monitored by NCA’s Director of Operations, Dav Whatmore, and the support staff that included Paul Close and Paul Chapman.

Sreesanth and Munaf will have another round of testing on Saturday and after that Whatmore is expected to file his final fitness update on the two players to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The Indian team for the ODI tri-series in Australia will be selected in Mumbai on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Robin Uthappa and Ajit Agarkar continued their stint at the fitness and monitoring camp in progress at the academy, while Randeb Bose left on Friday morning. — Principal Correspondent
