Red Ribbon Express arrives in Agra

Agra: The Red Ribbon Express, an exhibition train which is spreading awareness of HIV/AIDS across the country, arrived here on Friday from Gwalior for a two-day halt.

The arrival of the eight-coach special train was followed by a function at the Agra Cantonment railway station.

Shakeel Ahmad, Director General of Nehru Yuva Kendra, which sponsored the exhibition along with Indian Railways and the National Aids Control Organisation, explained the objective and features of the moving exhibition.

Later, 60 volunteers travelling with the train, moved out on bicycles to the villages in the district to aware people of HIV/AIDS.

Besides, two buses, especially equipped with instructive panels and exhibits, moved out to Bah tehsil and Fatehpur Sikri.

The train is slated to depart from here to Bharatpur Saturday evening. — PTI
