Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Friday said his government will accord top priority to employment generation and infrastructure development in the State. “The State Government would make sincere efforts to generate employment and self-employment avenues in public and private sectors in the coming years,” he said while addressing MLAs at a meeting to discuss the State’s annual plan proposal. Pointing out that his Government was faced with the daunting task of setting the State’s finances right, Mr. Dhumal said it could be done only by cutting down on uproductive expenditures. Citing infrastructure development as another priority he said utmost importance will be given to the construction of roads, strengthening of health care centres improvement in the prevailing education system in the State. — PTI
