Four killed as car rams into tree

TIRUVANNAMALAI: Four Sabarimala devotees hailing from Nalgonda district in Andhra Pradesh were killed, and five others injured, when a car rammed into a tamarind tree at Thenpallipattu village near Kalasapakkam in Tiruvannamalai district early on Friday.

According to police, Nirmala Yadayya (35), Yanala Venugopal Reddy (40) and Simala Mallayya (35), of Sali Kauragaram village in Nalgonda district, died on the spot.

Driver Shyamsundar Reddy (40) died on the way to hospital. — Special Correspondent
