Best coconut farmer award

Kochi: The Coconut Development Board has extended the last date for receiving the nomination for the best coconut farmer award from December 31 to February 15. The nomination has to reach the Director of Horticulture/Agriculture from the local agriculture officer or sponsoring agencies such as research institutes or the agricultural university. The best three farmers in each State will be selected by a committee nominated by the State department as per the norms of the Board. The panels received from various States will be considered for final selection. The last date for receipt of application for the best coconut processor, the best research worker, the master craftsman manufacturing coconut-based handicrafts, the best exporter of coconut products, the best development worker and the best cooperative society/NGO remains February 15.
