KOCHI: A 21-day winter school on impact of climate change on Indian marine fisheries began at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute here on Friday. The programme is supported by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research. Delegates from various research institutions and colleges are attending the programme. N. Ramachandran, Chairman of the Cochin Port Trust, inaugurated the programme. N.G.K. Pillai, Director of the institute, presided. K. Mohan Kumar, Dean, School of Marine Sciences of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, delivered the keynote address. E. Vivekanandan, Director of the winter school, spoke.
