Two held for robbing truck drivers

NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested at Badarpur here for allegedly robbing truck drivers on highways. Over 200 steel ingots valued at Rs.18 lakh have allegedly been recovered.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team laid a trap near a scrap dealer’s shop in Molarband and arrested Tarif and Sachin when the two allegedly came there to supply ingots to the dealer.

The scrap dealer, Salim Kabbari, and the alleged kingpin of the gang, Lokesh, managed to escape.
