Participates in brainstorming session ‘Andhras known for diverse skills abroad’ HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asked techies in the Information Technology sector to come up with ideas for ensuring equitable distribution of wealth. He was participating in a brain-storming session at the party headquarters here, put together by Hyderabad Software Process Improvement Network (HYDSPIN). Mr. Naidu told the gathering how he had pushed for economic reforms and how it had led to increased creation of wealth, especially in IT, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and telecom sectors. He told them however, that there was a flip side to the creation of wealth and the boom in the country’s economic growth coming close to double-digits. “While the number of Indians joining millionaire/billionaire clubs has gone up, people still continue to languish in poverty”, he said. Vision 2020Recalling the Vision 2020 document prepared by McKinsey when the TDP was in power, he said “ look where we are today in terms of growth. Our human resources are the best. With a little more entrepreneurial skills, the Telugu community are sure to be number one, globally”, he declared. Narrating his experiences during his two visits to the United States, he said “while Gujaratis are known for their entrepreneurial skills in setting up restaurants, the Punjabis are known abroad for their farming practices. Next come the Andhras with their diverse skills that including medical, engineering, IT and now even real estate”, he said. Others present at the brainstorming were former Telecom advisor to government T. Hanuman Chowdary. HYDSPIN was represented by coordinator Maneesha Josyula, president B.S. Gandhi and Jayachandra Naidu.
