Guidelines for treating urological diseases framed

CHENNAI: The Urological Society of India has framed the first set of clinical guidelines for treatment of common urological diseases, and it will be adopted by the body after deliberations, Society president Narmada P. Gupta said on Thursday.

Speaking at USICON 2008, the Society’s 41st annual conference, he said several attempts had been made in the past to frame treatment guidelines, but this year, it came off.

The guidelines were meant to provide uniform care for several common urological diseases, and they would be presented at the conference for approval.
