GoAir records 73 per cent growth

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: GoAir recorded 73 per cent growth in passenger traffic during the nine months of the current fiscal. The growth in traffic follows the flight operations expansion programme launched by GoAir in November last. As part of the flight operations expansion programme, GoAir doubled its weekly flight operations to 561 commercial flights, according to a press release.

During the nine months, GoAir’s load factors averaged to 83 per cent and its overall market share increased to nearly five per cent. GoAir Managing Director Jeh Wadia said, “The enormous growth consistently recorded by GoAir over the last few quarters reflects the faith of our passengers in the brand.”

Go Airlines (India) Pvt. Ltd., is the aviation foray of the Wadia group.
