Big win for NTR Delhi

Bangalore: NTR Delhi defeated U.P. East 6-0 in an all-India BSNL football tournament tie at the Football Stadium here on Saturday evening. Dinesh Kumar (2), Sukhbir Singh, Virender Yadav, Sunil Kumar and Tashi Tandap scored.

Deadly spell

A deadly spell by Yogesh (eight for 56) helped Yuvaraja’s College, Mysore, register a seven-wicket win over YMCC in the KSCA Mysore Zone first division league encounter played at the Gangothri grounds, Mysore, on Saturday.

The scores: 1st Division: YMCC 120 in 27.4 overs (Deemanth 42, K.N. Yogesh eight for 56) lost to Yuvaraja’s College 124 for three in 21.5 overs (M.S. Vinay 73).

RBNCC ‘A’ 222 for nine in 50 overs (Arun Bafna 85, Balasubramania 68, Rohit four for 55) drew with The Mysore Gymkhana 216 for nine in 50 overs (S.S. Yognath 76 not out, C. Sunil four for 63).

3rd Division: Jawahar’s (Mandya) 318 in 48.2 overs (S. Harish 76, Manu 40, Umesh 43 not out, Girish four for 60) bt Sunny Side 108 in 38.3 overs.

BIC triumphs

Host Bangalore Institute of Cricket (BIC) won the Chakrapani Cup under-15 cricket tournament here on Saturday. In the final at the GKVK Ground, BIC defeated Bangalore Blues by five wickets.

The scores (final): Bangalore Blues 190 in 39 overs (R. Samarth 85) lost to BIC 192 for five in 38 overs (Arun Pandey 50 n.o., Aman Raj 49, Rakshith 48).

Seven-wkt. win

Pavan English Medium HS (Dharwad) defeated St. Anthony School (Hubli) by seven wickets in the KSCA under-15 inter-school league cricket tournament at Dharwad.

The scores: St. Anthony School 123 in 29.1 overs (Ketan Patil 36, B. Abhimanyu 31, Mahantesh four for 10) lost to Pavan HS 124 for three in 22.5 overs (Amar Murdeshwar 31).
