Bomb threat: caller identified

Chennai: Chennai City Police Commissioner G. Nanchil Kumaran said the police on Saturday have identified the person who had made bomb threats to the city.

According to police sources, an anonymous person had recently posted a bomb threat on a local website about attack on public spots in the city.

An investigation was made to trace the person behind the threat.

Mr. Kumaran said there was evidence that the threat was from a “mischief monger” whose identity has been found. Police would zero in on him soon, Mr. Kumaran said.
