KARIMNAGAR: Balladeer Gadar has said that Hyderabad is part of Telangana and people cannot imagine Telangana state without Hyderabad. Gadar visited the Karimnagar town on Saturday to release posters on “Chalo Hyderabad” programme on February 4 to organise massive public meeting and procession of Telangana cultural forms demanding separate Telangana state.

The programme is being jointly organised by Telangana joint action committee and Telangana cultural federation.

Speaking on the occasion, Gadar said that the programme was aimed to demand the Telangana state before 2009 elections by intensifying the movement with the joint action committee of artistes, intellectuals and others.

The balladeer said around 10,000 artistes of various cultural forms of Telangana region would participate in a massive procession in Hyderabad on February 4 demanding separate Telangana state.

Cultural rally

The cultural rally would culminate into a massive public meeting at Nizam college grounds in the evening.

He said that about 1,000 cultural troupe members would also proceed to Delhi to participate in agitational programme at Jantar mantar on February 26 demanding separate Telangana state and mobilise support of national parties.

Telangana joint action committee leader Pasham Yadagiri alleged that the Andhra region had siphoned off about Rs. 80 lakh crore of natural resources from Telangana.

He said that they would collect a compensation of at least Rs. 2 lakh crore from the Andhra region after the formation of separate Telangana state.
