Bid to hurl ganja into prison: two held

The K.K. Nagar police arrested two youths here after they allegedly tried to hurl packets containing ganja into the Central Prison from outside on Friday. Police said two constables attached to the Tamil Nadu Special Police who were deployed for security duty outside the compound wall of the sixth tower of the prison caught G. Arunkumar (17) and P. Rajesh (17), of Kottapattu, when they attempted to hurl packets containing 75 grams of ganja into the prison.

The K.K. Nagar police registered a case against the duo who were later remanded to judicial custody.
