PUDUCHERRY: Four students of Puducherry have won medals in the 5th National Ice Skating Championship held in Shimla on January 5. According to a press release here from D. Sivakumar, general secretary of the Pondicherry Ice Skating Association, the children have won the medals in the ice skating (figure) category. In the sub junior (girls) category T. Monica Jasmine of St Joseph of Cluny School won the gold medal. Students of Petit Seminaire Hr Sec School S. Dinesh Kumar won the silver medal in the sub junior (boys) category, S. Pradeep Kumar won the silver medal in the junior (boys) category and S.S. Karthik won the bronze medal in the same category. — Staff Reporter
