Lagadapati fishing in troubled waters: MP
Staff Reporter
Sangareddy: Siddipet MP Sarve Satyanarayana alleged that the Vijayawada MP, Lagadapati Rajgopal, was trying to fish in troubled waters only to ‘project’ himself as the Chief Minister if a separate State of Andhra was carved out. Mr Satyanarayana further predicted that Mr. Rajagopal’s plans would not succeed because the Chief Minister’s son, Jaganmohan Reddy, had every chance of becoming the Chief Minister if statehood was granted to Andhra.
Mr. Satyanarayana, who was in Siddipet on Sunday to attend the felicitation function of local artist Rajaiah, was speaking to reporters. Coming down heavily on the Vijayawada MP, Mr Satyanarayana warned him to steer clear of contentious issues or else face the ‘wrath of Telangana people’.
‘Expecting good news’
He expressed confidence that the team of Congress leaders who would meet the party president, Sonia Gandhi, in New Delhi on January 28 would return with some ‘good news.’
